On Sunday morning, we continued our study on ‘Filling Your Life With the Word of God’ by taking another look at what studying your Bible is all about. More specifically, we discussed the importance of knowing the context of the passage of scripture you are reading. There are many different types of contexts and in this lesson we learned about literary context, historical context, cultural context, canonical context, doctrinal context, and numerical context.
